SEXOTHERAPY in Paris

The couple Masters and Johnson (a gynecologist and a psychologist, respectively) were the first pioneers of sexotherapy. They began research on the mechanisms of enjoyment, previously ignored in Puritan America in the 1950s.

A new interest in these issues was raised among the general public and the two innovators in sex therapy began to take an interest in sexual dysfunctions and interactions between partners.
